YWAM Staff and Volunteers prepare for over 50 hours of training in Biblical Education and Leadership Training. The participants will be meeting mostly on many of the evenings all of November.
OBJECTIVE:
“This first module of the Transformation Series is an intensive three week Bible seminar designed to bring transformation of the heart through acquiring a basic understanding of God and the Gospel message. The seminar studies the nature and character of God, our intelligent design and created purpose, our responsibility for sin, the destructiveness of sin, and the transforming message of the cross, as well as Satan and his strategies, and the call to missions. Participants engage in a practical weekend teaching outreach in the local community and churches.”
CHRISTIAN FORMATION IN THE LECTURE PHASE:
The Lecture is 3 weeks long with 6-8 hours of learning per day but can be modified to run for slightly longer or shorter time periods. We include group work and field assignment prep into the weeks and the second weekend of the seminar is their outreach. The length of the seminar is mostly adjusted based on the amount of time our participants can take away from their ministries, and families.
INTENDED STUDENTS:
This BELT Course is for all of the staff, and volunteers from the YWAM Antipolo Training Center. We are still in a COVID lockdown, restricted season, so we do not have any outsiders. Well, the only outsiders that will be coming are a few of the teachers, but it is an in-house, staff development opportunity with included outreach at the end of the course, to a Orphanage in which we have been able to partner with during this season.
LECTURE PHASE FORMAT:
The Lecture is 3 weeks long with 6-8 hours of learning per day. It can be modified to run for slightly longer or shorter time periods, but we will do everything in one month. We include group work and field assignment prep into the weeks and the last three days of the seminar is their outreach a few hours away. The length of the seminar was mostly adjusted based on the amount of time our participants were take away from their current ministries — one month to be exact. All participants, since they are our staff and volunteers, will continue their normal work duties, work program, food prep etc, during their in-between scheduled times.
